Cinematic Gangwon provides a look at the current state of “Gangwon-do films” produced by local media centers in the province or sponsored by the Gangwon Film Commission. Notable entries include Stories We Tell co-directed by seven people including MOON Chunhui. MOON, made her directing debut in her 70s with Postman screened at last year’s festival, and this is her sophomore film. Another documentary What? I Am Married a Pastor? tells a story as captivating as the title. The section also features major films produced in Gangwon-do last year. In Seoul by JUNG Seung-yi, Lie by SON Seon-hui, My First by LEE Yujin, and An Unfamiliar Road by NAMGUNG Yeonyi have been introduced and acclaimed at other film festivals before PIPFF.
